Bruce D. Burk
Mr. Burk was born and raised in Broward County. He attended Palm Beach
Atlantic University, where he earned a B.S. in International Business.
While in college, Bruce worked for the United States Attorney’s
Office in West Palm Beach, was involved in Students in Free Enterprise,
and led a mission trip to Guatemala. After graduating, he worked as a
financial analyst for Ocwen Financial Corporation assisting homeowners
with government insured loans.
Mr. Burk attended the University of South Carolina School of Law where
he was active with the Mock Trial Bar and South Carolina Journal of International
Law and Business. While there, he worked for the Chief Judge of the South
Carolina Court of Appeals.
Upon graduation from law school, Bruce worked as an Assistant State Attorney.
He then went to work in a civil litigation law firm where he represented
clients in foreclosure defense, landlord tenant disputes, family law,
personal injury and employment law. Bruce then went to work for Clarke
& Platt, PA where he represented Employers, Carriers, Third-Party
Administrators, and Self-Insurers in the area of workers’ compensation,
including litigating several cases to final hearing, before joining Pallo,
Marks, Hernandez, Gechijian & DeMay, P.A.
Bruce is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Workers’
Compensation CLE Committee and the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section.
Outside of the workplace, Bruce enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and golf.
