ANNIE J. SHOOK

Annie J. Shook was born in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Shook attended Wayne State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies. Thereafter, Ms. Shook received her Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University School of Law. During her tenure with Michigan State, Ms. Shook participated in a clinical program, allowing law students to provide formal representation to parties in litigated matters. After graduation, Ms. Shook relocated to South Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003.

She began her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Attorney General's Eminent Domain Division. Ms. Shook later entered the private sector, focusing her practice in the area of insurance defense, representing employers, carriers and third-party administrators in Workers' Compensation litigation.

Ms. Shook is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and a member of the Young Lawyers and Worker's Compensation Sections of the Florida Bar. In her free time, she enjoys writing, snorkeling, snow skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
