Pallo, Marks, Hernandez, Gechijian & DeMay, P.A. is excited to announce that Jessica Blackman has joined the firm as an associate in our Palm Beach Gardens office.

Ms. Blackman received her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Psychology from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. She received her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2007 with a certificate in Sports Law. While in law school she was an active member of the student government, President of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity and an Executive Board member of the Sports Law Association. After graduating from law school Ms. Blackman initially represented injured workers', but now focuses her practice exclusively to defending Employers, Insurance Carriers and Third Party Administrators in workers’ compensation matters.

Ms. Blackman is currently a member of the Florida Bar, Young Lawyers and the Workers’ Compensation Section. She is also an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and an Executive Board Member of its Young Lawyers Section, as well as being on the Board of Directors for the Treasure Coast section of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund. Her interests include cooking, traveling, Red Sox baseball and spending time with her family and friends.

Pallo, Marks, Hernandez, Gechijian & DeMay, P.A. is excited to announce that Hudson Jones has joined the firm as an associate in our Sarasota office.

Mr. Jones received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Harvard University in 2004, where he graduated cum laude. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2007. While attending law school, Mr. Jones became active in the American Constitution Society, Public Interest Advocacy Group, Sports Law Society, Student Bar Association, and focused his studies on Litigation and Trial Advocacy. He received Book Awards in the courses of Judicial Power and Restraint, and Labor Law. During law school, Mr. Jones also served as a legal assistant for two professors and contributed to numerous articles and books of legal scholarship.

After graduation and admission to The Florida Bar, Mr. Jones began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender. He worked for three years at the Florida Public Defender’s Office in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. During his employment there, he litigated thousands of criminal cases. Mr. Jones tried a total of 52 jury trials as a defense attorney. In 2010, he entered private practice at the firm, where he focuses his practice on defending employers, insurance carriers, self insurers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters.

Mr. Jones is a former Division I scholar-athlete and was a four-year varsity wrestler at Harvard University. He has enjoyed participating in many service and volunteer efforts, including the Boston Partners in Education Tutoring Program, service trips to Appalachia to assist the poor, Habitat for Humanity, and foundations that focus their efforts on assisting developmentally handicapped children.

Mr. Jones interests include spending time with family, reading, professional and collegiate sports, tennis, golf, skiing and traveling.

Pallo, Marks, Hernandez, Gechijian & DeMay, P.A. is excited to announce that Scott Glick has joined the firm as an associate in our Miami office.Scott Glick received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with Honors from the City University of New York in 1988. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 1991. While in school, Mr. Glick was active in Student Government.
Prior to specializing in the workers' compensation field, Mr. Glick worked for the State of Florida Public Defender's Office in Tallahassee for 3 years and was an Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Juvenile Justice in South Florida for 4 years.

Since 2000, Mr. Glick has concentrated solely on defending employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in workers' compensation matters. Mr. Glick has handled numerous workers' compensation cases through all stages of litigation. It is his vast knowledge and experience that provides him with substantial expertise in defending matters brought against our clients.

Mr. Glick is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and is also a member of the Broward Bar Association. He is an active member of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund to help qualified high school students who are dependents or descendants of claimants, etc. The Fund is used to cover the cost of tuition, room, board, and books.

His interests include tennis, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.

It is with great pride and excitement that we announce as of the 1st of December, 2008, the law firm of Pallo, Marks & Hernandez P.A., has merged with The DeMay Law Firm of Sarasota. The new name of the firm will be:

The Sarasota office will be run by our new partner, Daniel J. DeMay, who has been practicing in the area of Workers Compensation Defense for over 20 years. With the addition of the Sarasota office, our firm now has four office locations serving the State of Florida. The Sarasota office is currently available for new file assignments and is in full compliance with all client mandated billing requirements.
